Regan Miller Jones, RD founded her career with a vision of providing a tasteful approach to nutrition communications and food marketing. Guided by the motto that “eating well is an art," Jones offers corporate clients culinary-based support in sales and marketing, recipe development, social media and traditional media relations.
A graduate of Auburn University (Magna Cum Laude) and The University of Alabama at Birmingham, Jones began her career in 1998 as Assistant Editor for Cooking Light and Weight Watchers Magazines. In 2001, she began serving as Nutrition Communications Director for the Southeast Dairy Association where she was appointed National Spokesperson for the National Dairy Council. She has been featured in hundreds of television and radio segments nationwide and has been quoted in publications including USA Today and The Wall Street Journal.
Jones previously served as President of the North Alabama Dietetic Association, Nutrition Faculty Advisory for the University of Alabama, and was named Alabama’s Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year. Her professional affiliations include the American Dietetic Association, International Association of Culinary Professionals, the American Dietetic Association Food and Culinary Professionals and Nutrition Entrepreneurs Practice Groups.
Jones is co-founder of Healthy Aperture - a unique food photo gallery exposing what’s healthy to eat on the web - and The Recipe ReDux - the first and only on-line recipe challenge founded by registered dietitians. Her monthly participation in The ReDux, as well as her personal views on the topics of food and nutrition are detailed regularly on The Professional Palate Blog.
Born out of the desire to provide consumers a tastier approach to healthy living, The Professional Palate Blog chronicles Jones' successes (and struggles) as the nutritionist-mom of two young children. She frequently shares her thoughts on the balance between taste, health and the need for life's special edible indulgences. She enjoys these little indulgences from her home in Georgia with her husband and two young sons.
